Former Iran international Alireza Abbasfard attended Sarawak’s trail today with the Iranian playing his favorite position as a center forward.
The Iranian is 32 years of age, and has scored a total of 51 goals in his professional carrier as a footballer, including one for his country when they played Tajikistan. His last team was Iranian club, Aluminium which features in the Azadegan League.
Despite his impressive stats, there is not much else known about Alireza whom is 1.90m tall.
It was however noted during the trials today that Alireza could replace Bobby Gonzales’s role as the ultimate clinical finisher Sarawak needs as he tends to wait for the ball before finishing it off calmly.
