SarawakCrocs.com (Sarawak Crocs) was established on 18 April 2013 as a private initiative which is supported by Sarawak Bloggers Society.
The portal came about when a member in the Sarawak Bloggers realized that the Sarawak FA, known also as the Crocs (Bujang Senang) was not getting enough coverage from sports portals in Malaysia, with most portals and newspapers either giving less coverage, or no coverage at all for the team based in Kuching.
Work on the portal soon commerce with links and networking being built within the football fraternities of Sarawak, hence making Sarawak Crocs fast becoming one of the main sources for Sarawak football.
In less than four months, Sarawak Crocs has over 700 followers on Twitter, with over 1000 fans on Facebook. It also boast of a huge readership online with over 790,000 hits, and over 13,000 unique visitors a month.
As of 15 July 2014, SarawakCrocs’ followers continue to grow with over 10,000 fans on Facebook, and 9,000 on twitter, making it the most followed sports blog in East Malaysia.
In 2016, SarawakCrocs followers on Facebook grew to 26,000 with over 12,000 followers on twitter. Our newly opened Instagram account also saw more than 2,000 followers following us.
