The status of four foreign players donning the colours of the Crocs are now in limbo after rumours started by football fan page SSBNTGY have revealed that several foreign players are heading to Kuching to earn a spot in the current Sarawak team which is coached by David Usop.
English footballer Andrew James Russell is one of the names mentioned. The South China centre back is part of the Hong Kong national football team, and plays as a defender. South China is former Sarawak striker Ryan Griffith’s new club. The 27-year old defender is a regular player at is club.
While it is not a certainty that Sarawak would drop any one of the players they currently have, rumours involving foreign players training with the Crocs are bound to spark uncertainty over the current crop of foreign players Sarawak currently employ.
David Usop however had hinted previously that he would like to retain the current foreign players Sarawak had signed.
Some fans however have opposed David’s suggestions, preferring the Crocs to employ new players to strengthen their squad.
