Perlis FA has gained promotion to the Liga Premier after they made a strong case to gain special promotion the Malaysia Football League (MFL).
According to MFL, the decision to pick Perlis FA came after considerating several other request for the special promotion. Kuching FA was one of the teams also applying for the special promotion to the Liga premier.
Perlis however needs to settle out standing issues within 60 days.
The special promotion to the Liga Premier happened after several teams had to be promoted to the Liga Super following issues pertaining to several teams. This caused a void in the league, hence the special promotion for teams from the Liga FAM.
Also announced was the acceptance of UKM FC’s appeal to be retained in the Liga Premier.
The acceptance meant that UKM FC would remain in the Liga Premier for next season.
