Liverpool FC will usher in a major change to its iconic shirt from the 2027/28 season, with Turkish Airlines set to become the club’s new Main Club Partner from 1 June 2027.

The announcement will end a 17-year partnership between Liverpool and Standard Chartered as the club’s Main Club Partner, although the financial institution will remain part of the Liverpool FC family as a Global Partner from the 2027/28 campaign.

Standard Chartered will continue as Liverpool’s Main Club Partner throughout the 2026/27 season before the transition takes place in June 2027.

Turkish Airlines Branding to Feature on Liverpool Shirts

From the beginning of the 2027/28 season, Turkish Airlines branding will appear on the front of Liverpool FC’s men’s, women’s and academy match shirts.

The move represents the first change to Liverpool’s Main Club Partner in 17 years, making it a significant moment in the commercial history of the Premier League club.

Liverpool’s shirt front has traditionally been regarded as one of the most prominent sponsorship positions in world football, with the club choosing long-term and significant commercial relationships for the position.

Turkish Airlines will now become the latest global brand to take its place on the famous Liverpool shirt.

Standard Chartered to Remain as Global Partner

Standard Chartered became Liverpool FC’s Main Club Partner in 2010 and has remained in the position for 17 years.

During that period, the partnership has coincided with one of the most successful eras in Liverpool’s modern history, while the two organisations have also worked on initiatives aimed at supporting supporters and communities around the world.

Although its role will change from the 2027/28 season, Standard Chartered will continue its relationship with Liverpool as a Global Partner.

Liverpool Chief Commercial Officer Ben Latty praised Standard Chartered’s contribution while welcoming Turkish Airlines as the club’s future Main Club Partner.

“This is a milestone announcement for us and we are delighted to welcome Turkish Airlines as our Main Club Partner from June 2027,” Latty said.

He also highlighted the importance of the Liverpool shirt and the significance of Turkish Airlines becoming part of its history.

Liverpool and Turkish Airlines Share Global Reach

The new partnership brings together two organisations with an extensive international presence.

Liverpool has one of the largest global supporter bases in football, while Turkish Airlines operates an extensive international network from its Istanbul hub, connecting destinations across Europe, Asia, Africa, the Americas and beyond.

Turkish Airlines CEO Ahmet Olmuştur said the airline was proud to become Liverpool FC’s Main Club Partner.

He described Liverpool as one of the world’s most recognised and respected football clubs, highlighting the club’s heritage and global supporter community.

The airline also sees the partnership as an opportunity to strengthen its involvement in international sport and promote its message of connecting people, cultures and continents.

A New Chapter for Liverpool FC

The arrival of Turkish Airlines will create a new visual identity for Liverpool’s shirts from the 2027/28 season.

For supporters, the change will mark the end of an era with Standard Chartered while beginning a new chapter with one of the world’s major airlines.

Liverpool’s partnership with Turkish Airlines will officially begin on 1 June 2027, with the airline’s branding set to appear across the club’s men’s, women’s and academy match shirts from the following season.

For a club where the shirt carries significant historical and emotional value, the arrival of a new Main Club Partner represents more than a commercial change.

It will be a new chapter in the history of the famous Liverpool FC shirt.
