The possible replacement of Italian defender Davide Grassi who once played for the Crocs may have been decided, although the Crocs still have two weeks before the transfer window concludes.
In the friendly game against PKNS FC last weekend, only one out of the three foreign defenders on trial with the Crocs featured, and it was Liberian international, Teah Baysah Dennis.
The other two defenders, Vladimir Cardoba and Andrei Cardos, were no where to be seen, prompting us to believe that the Liberian may have just secured his spot in David Usop’s team.
Teah started with Hairol Mokhtar as a central defender, and played in both halves of the match which the Crocs won with a single goal from Junior Aparecido.
The defender looked less comfortable in the first half of the game, but was much better when the second half resumed. The average performance was believed to be due to the lack of understanding between Teah and Hairol, which both just forged a partnership at the defences recently.
Sarawak head coach David Usop however does not want to confirm his final decision just yet as the Sarawakian coach said that he is not in a rush to sign anyone as the transfer window is still long.
