Former attacking midfielder of Sarawak, Junior Aparecido has signed a contract with Qatar based football team, Al-Markhiya S.C.
The team nicknamed Al-Ittifaq plays in Qatar’s second division league, the Qatargas League, and won the league four times.
Junior joined Sarawak FA in 2016 from Brazil side Avai when K Rajagobal was the head coach of the team. During his stint with Sarawak, Junior was largely played as an attacking midfielder in which he showcased his amazing free kick ability.
Nonetheless, at the end of the season, Junior found himself left out of contract negotiations when the new management took over the team at the end of last season, and was released as a free agent when his contract ended.
With Sarawak, he scored five goals from over 18 appearances, and was also interviewed by SarawakCrocs last season.
