The Football Association of Sarawak (FAS) yesterday confirmed that the trip to Surabaya for a friendly encounter with Persebaya is fully sponsored by the host.
FAS made the announcement during a press conference yesterday which was also attended by two of its players, Mateo Roskam and Hairol Mothtar.
According to FAS, Persebaya forked out the funds needed for the team’s air tickets, meals and boarding in which Sarawak FA needs only to play.
Also mentioned was the reason of the friendly, which was to as a ‘blessing game’ for Persebaya as they enter the 1st Division of the Indonesian League.
The game would be also televised live over an Indonesia TV, MNCTV this Sunday, 18 March from Stadium Gelora Bung Tomo, Surabaya. The match is scheduled at 153 0hours Indonesian time (1430 hours Malaysian time).
