The Football Association of Sarawak (FAS) is hoping that the Crown Prince of Johor (TMJ), Tunku Ismail would help the Crocs stay in the Liga Super.
FAS President, Datu Posa Majais was quoted by Utusan Borneo as saying that he is still hoping the Crocs would make the cut to play in the Liga Super next season, admitting further that T-Team FC’s decision to withdraw from the Liga Super and opt for a place in the Liga Premier as ‘a lifeline’ for the Crocs.
According to Posa, the linfographic which Football Malaysia Limited Liability Partnership (FMLLP) produced recently wasn’t the final list of teams in the respective Liga Malaysia competitions as FAS is still appealing for a slot for the Crocs.
Posa further added that he personally met with TMJ last week to hand in an appeal for the Crocs, and he is very confident the Crocs still has a fighting chance to remain in the top football league in the country.
He further stressed that if Felda United’s appeal to play in the Liga Super could be accepted, then there is no reason why Sarawak’s shouldn’t be accepted.
The Crocs are technically relegated, and should be playing in the Liga Premier next season.
However, with changes now on-going in several teams in the Liga Super, FAS is hoping technicalities can enable them to remain in the top league, and that FAM and FMLLP would approve their club football license.
