SarawakCrocs Exclusive: Salibasic never gave up hope to play

Insider sources reported that new Sarawak import Muamer Salibasic never gave up hope to play for Sarawak FA despite having problems with his International Transfer Certificate (ITC).

According to our reliable source, Salibasic was expected to fly back to Bosnia after his ITC was unable to be obtained, which saw statements from Football Association of Sarawak (FAS) top officials concluding that negotiations to bring the skillful play-maker to the team has failed imminently.

However, Salibasic himself was reported to be eager to don the colours of the Crocs, and had personally tried no less than five times to get it approved through his contacts in his previous Bosnian club, and the FA of Bosnia, resulting in his ITC finally being obtained at the very last hour.

The acceptance of his ITC by both Football Association Malaysia (FAM) and FAS saw the well built footballer wow the Sarawak fans with his skills during his debut match last Saturday, hence making him an instant hit among many fans which has since hailed FAS’s decision to sign the player as a replacement of Ivan Babic.

In a match Sarawak dominated last Saturday, Salibasic was instrumental in feeding the Crocs front-line with attacking options, and was bossing the midfield for Sarawak. His well built body, and style of play has made fans liken him to legendary John Hunter who played in the 90s.

Salibasic now wears the number ten jersey, and is expected to perform much better as he gets better acclaimed to the climate in Malaysia.
