English striker Jamie Vardy has rejected a move to Arsenal by signing a new four-year deal with Leicester City.
The news will surely break Arsene Wenger’s heart as the Frenchman was seen as being very keen to bring the top striker of the Premier League over to the Emirates Stadium.
Leicester City which made a statement today said that they agreed with the representatives of Jamie Vardy to extend the England international’s contract with the Premier League champions for a further four years.
Vardy’s decision will be a huge blow to Wenger’s striking options, but it will bring great joy to the newly crowned English champions who will be looking to retain their championship, and play at the Champions League next season.
