Karim Darbaki is currently in Kuching to give himself a chance to fill in Sarawak’s available foreign player slot, said to be emptied by Milorad Janjus and Muamer Salibasic.
The Moroccan, which is based in Crystal, Minnesota, is largely unknown with little information made available online on this player.
From our digging, we know that Karim played with several small clubs in the US, with his most recent said to be Northen Illinois in 2012, playing 20 matches, making 17 starts, and scoring one goal.
The player is 1.89cm tall, and made it to the All-MAC Second Team and the NSCAA All-Great Lakes Region Third Team.
Karim was born on 7 April 1992 and is the son of Moroccan national football player Youssef Darbaki.
Apart from Karim, another player known as David Střihavka is also in Kuching to attend the trials.
