Malaysia under-22 football team head coach, Frank Bernhardt has called up two Sarawakians to the central training and selection for the 2017 SEA Games Football Team.
The duo, identified as defender Rodney Calvin Akwensivie and midfielder Nur Shamie Iszuan Amin, both aged 20 and 21 years old respectively, is expected to fly to Kuala Lumpur for the training and selection this coming 14 March, joining another 29 selected players from all over Malaysia.
During their stint with Bernhardt, both players will likely play in two friendly matches which has been arranged against for them at Stadium Paroi, Negeri Sembilan.
The matches scheduled are against the under-22 football team of the Philippines (23 March), and the national team of Nepal (27 March).
