Sarawak enter finals of MAKSAK Games football

The MAKSAK Sarawak Football Team showed their strength by thundering into the finals of the Football MAKSAK Games with a win over Majlis Sukan ATM (Malaysian Army) 3-0.

The win at Universiti Sains Malaysia meant that MAKSAK Sarawak will enter the finals of the football competition for the first time since the MAKSAK Games was established.

Prior to the 3-0 win, MAKSAK Sarawak football team won all games in their group B stage to top the group.

They trashed MAKSAK Labuan 4-0, defeated Majlis Sukan PDRM (Malaysian Police) 2-1 next, and humbled MAKSAK Negeri Sembilan 3-1, before defeating MAKSAK Selangor in the quater finals via a win through penalties.

The 3-0 win over Majlis Sukan ATM sealed their slot in finals.

The finals will pit MAKSAK Sarawak and MAKSAK Johor, with both teams expected to play at 3PM, August 4th at Stadium Bandar Raya, Penang.

MAKSAK stands for Majlis Kebajikan dan Sukan Anggota-Anggota Kerajaan Malaysia, with the MAKSAK Games pitting 19 regional, state and uniform bodies against each other with sports as a unifiyng factor.
