Sabah FA might end up playing with three foreign players after it was revealed that one of their import, believed to be Fazrul Nawaz, has left Sabah today.
According to social media updates, the Singaporean player has left the team ahead of the all important jersey and player presentation tomorrow, prompting many to believe he is a no-show for the event.
Rumours have suggested that the 29-year old striker is unhappy with the Sabah FA management although we do not have confirmation on this.
The latest incident adds up to the bigger problems Sabah is facing as their technical director George O’Callaghan remains ‘missing’ from the squad trained by Justin Ganai.
Adding to the Rhinos woes is the fact that their star player El-Hadji Diouf is reported to be injured ahead of the all important season opener, with social media users speculating his future with Sabah is in jeopardy shall the hamstring injury fail to recover quickly.
Sabah intends to gain promotion at the end of the season, and has brought in numerous high profile foreign names to help their cause.
