Norazlan Razali completes transfer to Kuching City

Experience goalkeeper, Norazlan Razali, has agreed to sign for Kuching City for 2023.

The former Melaka United goalkeeper is one of the most well travelled goalkeepers in Malaysia, having played with the likes of Johor Darul Ta’zim, Selangor, Felda United, Kuala Lumpur and Johor FA as well.

The Johor native stands at 1.85m, making him a huge pillar between the goal post, and he has also previously represented Malaysia against Iraq, Saudi Arabia and Palestine in 2010.

In addition to that, Norazlan had also played in the AFC Cup with Selangor in 2013 and 2016.

Such experience means that Norazlan would likely come in the Kuching City team to secure the number one choice goalkeeper spot, with Shaiful Wazizi likely being a back-up to Norazlan.

Nonetheless, both Shaiful and Norazlan are equally able to guard Kuching City’s goal, and Irfan Bakti might be tempted to rotate both goalkeepers during the 2023 season to ensure both will be match fit when required.

Kuching City will be playing in the Liga Super for their first time this year with the team nicknamed ‘The Cats’ expected to challenge for a safe mid-table position.
