PKNS FC has a poor record of playing away this season, and the Crocs are set to ensure this record remains the same when they entertain the club side tomorrow at the Stadium Negeri.
While PKNS does boast of an experience coach in Wan Jamak Hassan, the Red Ants have struggled to achieve positive results since the start of the season, hence their current position at tenth spot in the Super League standings, barely avoiding the relegation zone.
To make matters worst, PKNS just recently lost their best youngster in Nazmi Faiz, whom has now donned the Selangor jersey after he was rumored to be given an ultimatum by the Selangor FA to either stay with PKNS, or transfer to the Red Giants.
While Nazmi’s loss may plunge PKNS into deeper trouble, their ability to hold Selangor, and avoid a heavy defeat to JDT and Lions XII, all in their away fixtures recently, should be treated seriously by Sarawak FA.
The Crocs have been inconsistent of late with Robert Albert’s so called ‘best selection’ edged out by Sime Darby FC last weekend, which saw the Crocs give away a comfortable 2-0 lead.
Robert has since promised a total reshuffle of his side, although our experts at SarawakCrocs.com believe that such move is unlikely, given that Robert is prone to field similar players in his team, preferring local imports to the local Sarawakian boys.
It is therefore much assured that Robert will be fielding the likes of Junior Eldstal, S. Chanturu, Ryan Griffith, Ronny Harun, Ramesh Lai and Muamer Salibasic in his starting line-up while the likes of Sharol Saperi, Hairol Mokhtar, Joseph Kalang, Dzulazlan Ibrahim and Mazwandi Zakeria are put on standby, to fill in any slots left available.
With Gabor Gyepes believed to be out for another three weeks, the under-form Hassan Mohammad might be given the nod yet again although Robert could however return to his previous winning starting line-up which only saw Hassan come off the bench.
The goalkeeping department would also see a keen contest as Fadzley Rahim let in three easy goals last weekend, hence creating speculations that Sani Anuar might return to favour.
Regardless of the selection, the Crocs are in dire need to win this game to stay up as they would be facing more established opponents in the coming weeks with the likes of Pahang, Lions XII, Selangor and JDT lined up as the season draws to a close.
That said, we believe the Crocs do have what it takes to continue their good run against PKNS, and predict an easy win for the home side tomorrow.
OUR BIASED PREDICTION: Sarawak 2-0 PKNS
