The Crocs showed that their impressive run last season could be repeated when the team coached by Robert Alberts marched to yet again another win to put them five games undefeated, with three straight wins in the Super League.
Their latest victim was non other than Perak FA which arrogantly claimed that they would dent Sarawak’s record at Stadium Negeri last night, but it never came, despite referee Sukri Abdul Rahman helping Perak’s cause by showering the Crocs with as many yellow cards he could offer, with one red card reserved specially for Junior Eldstal for time wasting.
The game didn’t take long to energize itself with Sarawak’s Joseph Kalang unleashing a wild shot on goal in the early minutes of the game.
In the 7th minute, Milorad Janjus made it clear that he is willing to fight on to stay with the Crocs as he drove in a beautiful free kick which beat Perak goalkeeper Razi Effendi Suhit, erupting Stadium Negeri as the referee gave the signs that it was counted as a goal.
A goal ahead did not stop Sarawak from making more moves in search for their second goal with Milorad guilty of blasting high another free kick, and Junior Eldstal missing a clear chance on goal.
Sukri then started putting a hand in the game as he started giving free kicks and stopping play for easy challenges, most which were against Sarawak. Perak took that opportunity to dictate play and the Seladangs started to arrange more dangerous attacks which were neatly cleared away by Sarawak’s backline marshaled by Gabor Gyepes.
The second half restarted with Perak fighting hard to find the equalizer.
Perak found themselves yet again in the favour of the referee as he continued to display poor handling of the game and started taking out yellow cards at will, against Sarawak players.
The disruptive flow of the game interrupted Sarawak’s game play with Robert screaming at the sideline in frustration over unfavorable decisions Sukri made against his team.
In the 71st minute, Sukri dismissed Junior after he flashed the midfielder with his second yellow card in the game, hence forcing the Crocs to play with ten men for the next 20 minutes.
The numerical advantage was taken in full length by Perak as they raided Sarawak’s end with countless goal scoring chances with some really close to hitting the back of the net.
Despite Perak’s massive attacking effort, the Crocs defenses stood firm until the final whistle, ensuring that Sarawak gained their third win in the league, and shooting them up to third in the Super League.
