Kuching FA might sign foreign import players for the coming season.
Its assistant team manager Iswandi Ali Hassan was quoted by Utusan Borneo as saying that if Kuching FA’s application to join the Liga Premier is accepted by the Football Association of Malaysia (FAM), his side would need quality players.
That said, Kuching FA might consider taking in import players to strengthen their side to remain competitive.
It was reported yesterday that former Sarawak FA players with Liga Super and Liga Premier experience are already lining up to join the community based team, with heavy weights such as Hairol Mokhtar, Ramesh Lai and Dzulazlan Ibrahim joining the team’s selection.
Kuching FA currently plays in the Liga FAM and managed to come fourth this season. In their inaugural season in the Liga FAM, the Kuching based team qualified for the knock-out stage of the league and missed promotion to the Liga Premier by a whisker.
