Kuching City FC imports and naturalized players in their prime

Kuching City FC head into the 2026/27 Malaysia League season with a relatively experienced squad, particularly through a combination of foreign imports and naturalised/inherited players.

Based on the list of 11 foreign imports provided, Kuching City’s foreign players have an average age of 30.5 years.

The youngest foreign imports are João Pedro, Dylan Wenzel-Halls and Ajdin Mujagic, all aged 28.

Meanwhile, the oldest foreign import is Nigerian centre-back James Okwuosa, who is 35 years old.

For the two listed naturalised/inherited players, Declan Lambert and Ryan Lambert, both are 27 years old.

This gives Kuching City’s naturalised/inherited group an average age of exactly 27 years, around 3.5 years younger than the average age of the foreign imports.

When all 13 foreign and naturalised/inherited players are combined, their overall average age is 30 years.

Kuching City’s 2026/27 foreign contingent also reflects considerable international diversity, with players from Japan, Cameroon, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Australia, Brazil, Timor-Leste, Jordan, Namibia and Nigeria.

Japan and Cameroon each contribute two players, while the other seven countries have one representative each.

With most of the foreign imports in their late 20s to mid-30s, the average age of 30.5 suggests that Kuching City have opted for a group that is not only relatively experienced, but also still within the prime years of their football careers.
