Kuching City FC continued their strong start to the 2026/27 Liga Super season with a 2-0 victory over Sabah FC at Likas Stadium on Saturday, September 5.

The visitors wasted little time making their mark, with Ajdin Mujagić opening the scoring in the 5th minute to put Kuching City 1-0 ahead.

Mujagić struck again in the 21st minute, completing his brace and giving Kuching City a two-goal advantage before the half-hour mark.

Sabah were unable to find a way back into the match as Kuching City protected their advantage through the remainder of the contest.

The result saw Kuching City claim another important three points in the Borneo derby, while Mujagić emerged as the decisive figure with both goals.

The victory also continued Kuching City’s impressive scoring run early in the campaign, following their 6-0 win over Kuala Lumpur City and 5-0 triumph against Kelantan Red Warrior. – SarawakCrocs
