Kim Grant keen on leading the Crocs next season [UPDATED]

Former Sarawak FA striker, Kim Grant has reached to us seeking the contact of the Football Association of Sarawak (FAS).

Grant, who played for Sarawak FA in 2004, is now a successful football coach, having stints in England, Ghana and Bangladesh, with his current club, Saif Sporting Club, currently ranked third in the Bangladesh Premier League.

When it comes to experience, Grant’s CV points to every skill a football coach in Sarawak would need, having experiences as a technical director (Ebusua Dwarfs FC), head coach (Woking Football Club, KG-IFA and Saif Sporting Club) and scouting with West Bromwich Albion for seven years in England.

On top of that, Grant had also started, and currently owns his very own football academy, which might be a great reference to the Football Association of Sarawak (FAS) who currently seems a bit lacking in such department.

When asked why he wanted to coach Sarawak FA, Grant told us that he had great memories with Sarawak and the club (Sarawak FA), admitting that coaching Sarawak FA and his former club would be great especially since he loved the people and the city.

Grant also elaborated that he has attended football coaching courses in the English football federation in Keel, English F.A. and the UEFA Fifa B Coaching license, and is looking forward to take his A and Pro lisence in the near future.

As mentioned previously, Grant is seeking to make contact with FAS with hope to apply as Sarawak’s head coach, a post which is currently filled by Pengiran Bala who took over from David Usop. We have asked him to email the FAS using the official email we have, and also contact FAS via their official Facebook page, but he has informed us that there’s no response.

Therefore, he is seeking to get in touch with officers in FAS directly in which he would get a response for his application.

That said, if anyone can help Grant, kindly get in touch with us on Facebook so that we can forward the contact of FAS to the Grant. – SarawakCrocs.com

UPDATE 19 SEPT 2017, 8:42AM:
An official from FAS has reached out to us to explain the situation, acknowledging they had received Grant’s emails.  He also allowed us to provide a contact number to which Grant can contact. Grant has been informed on this.
