Sarawak tireless midfielder is out for three months following his recent back operation in Europe.
The news has interrupted Ong Kim Swee’s plan to list the youngster under his SEA Games squad, together with Sarawakian Ashri Chuchu whom was also called to Kim Swee’s squad.
Kim Swee admitted he was disappointed with Junior’s absence, but he has expressed that some of the new players are ready to make an impression.
For Sarawak, the news was more concerning as it meant that Junior will not be able to start the season with the Crocs, and may loose vital match fitness. This could further jeopardize Sarawak’s preparation for the up-coming season in the Malaysia Super League.
Junior was not given the green light to play by a specialist in Kuala Lumpur following a laser treatment he attended for his slipped disc injury.
The midfielder has signed a contract extension with the Crocs, and has been on numerous other teams radar following his impressive display with Sarawak.
