Sarawak FA head coach, Ian Gillan is back in Kuching and was seen coaching his team at Stadium Negeri yesterday.
His return to Kuching ends speculation about his long absence in the team since he left to attend for personal matters after the game against Kuantan FA, which saw the Crocs win their first game of the season.
Ian’s return is much anticipated following Sarawak FA’s embarrassing defeat to Felcra FC before Chinese New Year, in which was also the same game which sparked FAS to question their players of match fixing.
Since Ian wasn’t allowed to seat with his players when the Crocs entertained Kuantan FC during the first game due to registration issues, the Borneo Derby against high riding Sabah FA would be his first competitive match as head coach of Sarawak FA, if the registration issues have been resolved by the FAS management.
Either way, Sarawak FA needs to bounce back to winning ways if they want fans and players to forget about the off field events which are now transpiring in the Sarawak football scene.
