Hyundai Motor announce partnership extension with Selangor FC

Hyundai Motor Malaysia (HMY) has announced the extension of its partnership with Selangor FC, reaffirming its role as the club’s Official Mobility Partner. The renewed agreement marks a deeper commitment between both parties, moving beyond sponsorship to strengthen their shared support for football development, community engagement, and fan experiences across Malaysia.

As part of the extended collaboration, HMY will continue providing a Hyundai TUCSON Prestige as the club’s official vehicle for the 2026/2027 season. The SUV will support the transportation needs of Selangor FC’s staff and officials, while ensuring players and management benefit from Hyundai’s emphasis on performance, innovation, and reliability throughout domestic and regional competitions.

Hyundai Motor Malaysia Managing Director, Jahabarnisa Haja Mohideen, said the success of the partnership’s first year, including Selangor FC’s impressive run to the final of the ASEAN Club Championship Shopee Cup, reinforced the company’s commitment to supporting the club’s ambitions. She added that Hyundai aims to enhance mobility solutions for the team, management, and supporters as they pursue future achievements.

Meanwhile, Selangor FC Chief Executive Officer Johan Kamal Hamidon described the extension as the beginning of a new chapter, highlighting the shared values of discipline, growth, and excellence that unite both organisations.

The partnership will also focus on creating stronger connections between automotive innovation and football through fan engagement initiatives, grassroots development programmes, and community outreach activities. During the past year, both parties collaborated on projects such as the Selangor FC Soccer School Carnival and the HMY Sentiasa di Sisi Anda x SFC Cahaya Ramadan 2026 programme, which provided assistance to underprivileged students in Klang.

The extension follows a successful 2025/2026 season for Selangor FC, which saw the Red Giants finish third in the Malaysia Super League and emerge as runners-up in the ASEAN Club Championship. Looking ahead, Hyundai and Selangor FC aim to continue creating meaningful experiences that connect players, supporters, and communities while advancing the growth of Malaysian football through a shared vision of progress and development.
