Sarawak head coach K Rajagobal has asked Hairol Mokhtar to step up and show his leadership qualities as the Crocs prepare to take on Kedah FA today.
The experienced head coach said that Hairol is a senior player, and he needs to show that he has the credibility to become a good captain.
Rajagobal further added that he has confidence in Hairol, and is also sure that other senior players like Ramesh Lai will help Hairol boost the morale of the players in the team.
Hairol is expected to take over Ronny Harun’s job as captain after the experienced defender picked up a long term injury last week.
Sarawak are preparing to entertain Kedah tonight with the Crocs badly needing a win to improve their position in the Liga Super.
