Gabor Gyepes, Sarawak’s former central defender whom was ousted by the management of the team just before the season started in 2015 due to a small injury is leading the list as a replacement for injured Ronald Hikspoor.
According to Utusan Sarawak, Robert Alberts had stated that Gabor’s position as a defender makes him the perfect fit to replace Ronald as he needs to beef up his defenses which is now ‘limping’ with the absence of Ronald.
We asked Gabor if he has been approached by the Sarawak FA management, but Gabor declined to reveal more aside from ‘there has been inquiries’, while adding that there is little for him to say at this moment.
Nonetheless, in our previous report, Gabor has confirmed with us that he is keen to beef up the Sarawak defenses shall he be signed back into Sarawak.
According to Utusan Sarawak as well, the management of Sarawak will soon meet to discuss the issue pertaining Ronald Hikspoor, but it is our belief at SarawakCrocs.com that the decision would be to get an immediate replacement for the injured Dutch footballer.
Shall Sarawak decide to re-sign Gabor to replace Ronald, it would definitely be a popular decision as fans were less impressed when the Hungarian was dropped at the beginning of the season. His return would definitely elate fans whom had felt Gabor as one of the best defenders Sarawak ever had since the days of David Evans.
