Officials from the Football Association of Sarawak (FAS) today met with HRH Major General Tunku Ismail Ibni Sultan Ibrahim, Crown Prince of Johor, who is also the owner of Johor Darul Ta’zim FC, and President of the Football Association of Malaysia (FAM).
According to a brief statement on the Southern Tigers official page, the visit was led by Dato Posa Majais, President of the Football Association of Sarawak (FAS).
The brief statement on the page further elaborated that the meeting was initiated by FAS to gain advice and views from HRH Crown Prince of Johor on management methods and guidance, with hope that the FAS can be more organised and stronger in the future.
There was little other information shared in regards to the meeting, and it is not known if FAS met Tunku Ismail under his capacity as the President of FAM, or under his capacity as owner of JDT FC, both of which could mean and lead to two different things for FAS.
Anyway, it is hoped that the meeting was fruitful because FAS is indeed in dire need of help next season as they are not only cash strapped, but need to revitalized and change the way they do things if they are serious to become a professional football club.
