Brazillian likely to replace injured Hikspoors

Sarawak FA wasted no time to seek replacements for Ronald Hikspoors who is now part of the coaching staff.

With one foreign player slot left vacant, Rodrigo Amorim, Marcelo Cabral and Hudson Dias are listed as potentials to take the spot.  The trio are Brazillians.

According to Sarawak FA, Amorim is a midfielder, but our checks online failed to find anything about the midfielder.

The closest football player we could find was Rodrigo Amorim Oliveira, but he was 29 year old and played much of his time in Brazil with two clubs namely Estanciano in 2018 and Lagarto in 2017. Sarawak FA had listed Amorim as being 29 years of age, so we can’t be sure if its the same player.

Our search of Marcelo Cabral was more fruitful with the midfielder listed at soccerway.com. According to the site, Cabral last played for Rio Verde GO in the Brazillian league and is 27-years of age. The midfielder does have a youtube video of his abilities as seen below.

According to a YouTube Video above, Cabral however had more than five clubs under his belt such as Fluminense FC, Boavista FC, Murici FC and San Jose EC, just to mention a few.

The last player Hudson Dias is was easy to find. The ‘Blade’ look-a-like had played in Portugal and Brazil and plays as a striker.

A youtube video of him below shows that he isn’t a selfish player on the pitch which may explain why his scoring rate is rather low for his position.

Dias stands at 1.90m and had played with teams like Santa Cruz FC (Brazil), Cabofriense (Brazil) and Sporting Covilhã (Portugal).

It would be interesting to see who out of the trio would replace Hikspoors. Personally, we do think Dias might be a good fit, but all clues point to Sarawak head coach Anai Igang wanting a midfielder as a replacement.

Who will it be? time will tell.
