We received a rumour that former Piala Presiden coach, Veloo a/l Sinnathamby, known better as coach Veloo will be elected as the assistant coach of Sarawak FA, assisting current interim coach Pengiran Bala.
According to the rumour sent to us by a reliable source, Veloo will replace Wahet Uji, who was previously asked to assist Pengiran Bala.
Veloo who was brought to Sarawak by former Sarawak head coach K Rajagobal in 2016, stayed on to train the under-21 players when Rajagobal decided to leave.
However, uninspiring results from the under-21 team under his care saw the 50 year old coach ‘rested’ from his role, only to be replaced by Sulaiman.
Further rumours also speculate that Wahet had decided not to stay on as an assistant to Pengiran Bala as he is keen to take charge of the Crocs next season shall he be given the chance.
As of now, we are largely unsure if there is any truth in the appointment of Veloo into the assistant head coach role, but if so, it is our hope that Veloo can help Bala change the fortunes of the Crocs in the Liga Super. – SarawakCrocs.com
