The 2016 Sarawak squad will not see the likes of six players as they have not renewed their respective contracts, or have been released by Sarawak under mutual terms.
According to a source to SarawakCrocs.com, the players which are leaving are goalkeeper Fadzley Rahim, defender A Varathan, midfielder Sabri Sahar, G Mahathevan and Joseph Kalang, and striker Nazri Kamal.
Except for Joseph Kalang, the rest of the players found themselves hardly breaking into the first eleven of the Crocs with Fadzley losing his place to new comer goalkeeper Iqbal Suhaimi, while Mahathevan, Nazri and Sabri having less than ten starting games this season.
The destination of these players remains unknown to us for now, but Joseph has confirmed he is leaving for his former team Terngganu, a team where he is fondly worshiped.
The fate of other players, including Sarawak’s four foreign imports are yet to be known for now.
