Tommy to leave Sarawak for Kuala Lumpur?

This is not confirmed just yet, but there are rumours circling social media that young striker Tommy Mawat Bada is heading out of Stadium Negeri.

An insider told us that Tommy has been approached by several teams, but there has not been any confirmation just yet on whether one of Sarawak’s brightest stars would be staying or leaving Stadium Negeri just yet.

Kuala Lumpur is said to be top on the list of teams interested in Tommy’s goal scoring abilities with former Sarawak FA players such as Benedict Martin and Ashri Chuchu already making names for them in the team.

It is further understood that most Sarawak FA players are now in the final month of their contract, and they can be poached by other teams, unless the Football Association of Sarawak (FAS) decides to re-sign them.

President of FAS, Posa Majais had also confirmed through an interview with BERNAMA last Saturday, that players are currently contracted until the end of November, adding that the management will decide the fate of their current players before the deal ends.

Tommy is considered one of the best youngsters from Sarawak FA and has caught the eye of many football teams in the Malaysian league due to his speed and intelligence on the pitch.

The 22-year-old striker is a prominent figure in the Sarawak FA set-up this season, and has been also called to train under the under-22 national team this season, although he failed to make the final cut.
