The tickets to the Sarawak vs Sime Darby FC are sold out.
The news was confirmed by the Football Association of Sarawak as they stated that there would be no more sell of tickets today and tomorrow.
Fans without tickets are therefore asked to stay home, or visit their nearest coffee stall to watch the game live on TV1.
Yesterday, thousands of fans thronged Wisma Hopoh and Sarawak Plaza to be in line for the hottest tickets in town this weekend. Some came as early as 6AM to be in queue as tempers flared when the staff of Lea Sports Center announced tickets were sold out even before they opened the shop.
The huge number of fans forced ticketing outlet Lea Sports Centre in Hopoh to delay business, as they called the police to help calm situations down.
It was later reported by The Star that tickets were eventually sold at 1:10PM at Hopoh with some fans fainting due to the massive rush.
FAS has thanked the fans for their support, and hoped that those failing to buy tickets would understand that despite them (FAS) wanting fans to be at the stadium, they are putting security of everyone as their utmost concern, hence not overselling tickets.
