The Sarawak futsal team trashed Perak in the semi finals of the SUKMA Sarawak futsal competition this morning.
The home side wasted no time to score as they put in the first goal of the match in the 3rd minute of play.
At half time, both teams couldn’t break the deadlock as they were tied 3-3.
A change in strategy in the second half however brough difference to the Sarawak play which not only curbed Perak’s fast attacks, but also allowed them to dominate play and score another four more goals, hence resulting in a soound 7-3 win for the home side.
The win means Sarawak is assured a silver medal from the SUKMA Futsal competition.
Their opponent in the finals would be Selangor which won 3-0 against Pulau Pinang in the second semi finals this morning.
Selangor will be a tricky opponent given that they managed to hold Sarawak in the group stages to a 2-2 draw.
The finals of the SUKMA Futsal will be held at the Kota Samarahan Indoor Stadium this coming Friday, 23 August 2024 at 11.30AM.
