The Sarawak SUKMA futsal team sent Johor’s futsal team out of the competition with a convincing 4 – 1 win at Kota Samarahan Indoor Stadium yesterday.
Johor, having finished all their Group B matches finish their SUKMA challenge in futsal without a single point from all four matches and are anchored to the bottom end of the group.
Sarawak, together with Pahang, Selangor and Perak therefore are confirmed teams in the quarter finals although thier position in the group is still pending today’s matches.
The top four teams in each group would advance to SUKMA Sarawak men’s futsal competition quaterfinals.
In the match yesterday, Sarawak which was playing in front of thousands of home fans, didn’t wait too long to score, putting themselves in a very comfortable 3 – 1 lead after the first half.
The second half was rather tight, but Sarawak managed to sneak in another goal to give them the full three points and send Johor home with nothing.

- Pulau Pinang (4) vs (2) Sabah
- Wilayah Persekutuan (2) vs (1) Melaka
- Pahang (1) vs (2) Selangor
- Sarawak (4) vs (1) Johor
