Shamie shares his disapointment regarding Sarawak United

Former Sarawak United FC midfielder, Nur Shamie Iszuan bin Amin has shared his dissapointment in regards to the lack of effort to settle the wages owed by Sarawak United.

The former ace of Sarawak United has come out in an exclusive interview with TVS, to claim that his former club, Sarawak United FC, still owes him and several players and staff of the club, thousands of ringgit.

The current Kuching City FC player said that he is dissapointed that the matter is still not settled, and that the Sarawak United’s owner has chosen to remain silent over unpaid wages.

Shamie also alleged that the sum owed was not little, hinting that it goes up to five figures for each player.

He also alledged that such issue should not be swept under the carpet, and the owner of the club should come forward and talk to the players and staff to seek some sort of middle ground to ensure the matter would be resolved.

Shamie also admitted that he and several players had already gone to PFAM (Professional Footballers Association of Malaysia) to help resolve the issues and get back the wages they are owed, but such process would take a year or two as it involves the justice system.

“I have never shared this to anyone, or on any social media platforms, about wages and all…

“but this has been too much. They have been silent and allowed the whole thing to remain unfinished.” said Shamie in the interview shared by TVS.

“This matter has been so long and not only involves players, but some staff members and coaches. They had just remained silent.

“We should not remain silent. This is our right. It is not a small sum of money. It’s not only a few thousands, but multiple thousands, some players are owed up to thirty to fourty thousand with Sarawak United.

“And then the owner has kept silent. Without saying a word or even trying to solved this problem.

“He didn’t even told the players how he wants to solve this.

“Settling this can maybe be discussed. Maybe outside, or using the correct platforms. But they have been silent.” added Shamie.

“We have made a report through PFAM and they will help us get our wages through the proper process. However it will take a year or two as it involves the court and all.” said Shamie again.

For the record, Sarawak United’s status in the Liga Malaysia remains unknown with the club believed to be now defunct.
