Kuching City FC midfielder, Nur Shamie Iszuan bin Amin is hoping that Kuching City will win silverware this season.
The experience Sarawakian said that all players want to win something even though the club is still considered young.
“As a player I hope we will win a trophy, especially since we are playing for Kuching, and Sarawak.
“Maybe Kuching City is still new, but all players want to win something and I hope we win something this year.” Shamie said in an interview with TVS.
In additio to that, Shamie also said that the current Kuching City head coach Aidil Sharin Sahak, is able to guide the team without players feeling much pressure.
Shamie added that he personally thinks Aidil isn’t fierce and knows when he should work and play, adding that the head coach from Singapore is however serious when asking players to deliver his game plan.
“He is not fierce. He knows when to work and play.
“When he wants something, players need to do it. He allows players to play and he doesn’t give us pressure.” Shamie adds in the interview.
Shamie also said he was happy that Kuching City is slowly able to unite football fans in Sarawak, saying that he is personally very pleased to see the return of fans to the stadium.
He added that the unity of fans is something he sees as positive and hopes more fans will fill the stadium during matches.
“This year we have started to see the return of fans. We hope to unify the fans regardless of which team they used to support or if they are not really original Kuching City fans.
“This year we can see the fans are slowly coming together and as players we see this as something positive. We hope more fans will come and support Kuching City and fill up the stadium.” Shamie commented further.
