Sarawak FA’s goalkeeper, Shahril Saari has been snapped up by Liga Super side PKNS FC for the coming season.
The goalkeeper who has been in excellent form for Sarawak FA this season was deemed a surplus after the management of the Football Association of Sarawak (FAS) decided the Crocs would be using an all-Sarawakian team in 2018.
Shahril was brought in to the Crocs in 2015, and became Sarawak’s number one goalkeeper in 2016 upon the departure of Iqbal Suhaimi.
The Terengganu born player was instrumental in front of the Sarawak goal since then, making vital saves when needed.
His departure from Sarawak leaves a huge gap to fill , with veteran goalkeeper Aidil Mohamed expected to become a regular feature between the Sarawak’s goalpost if he is not dropped next season.
