The Sukan Malaysia (SUKMA) Football team coached by Bosnian coach Fuad Gbrsic have been placed in Group C of the football competition, alongside the Federal Territory (Wilayah Persekutuan) and Terengganu.
The Sarawak team which had been training hard for the past year would include the likes of Nur Shamie Iszuan, Rodney Celvin and Florian Rison, all from the current senior team of Sarawak.
According to the scheduled released by the SUKMA secretariat, the football competition will be played from 22 – 30th July, with matches being played at Stadium Negeri, Stadium UNIMAS, and IPG Tun Abdul Razak Campus in Samarahan.
Below are the groups of the SUKMA football team.
Group A: Johor, Melaka, Selangor, Perlis
Group B: Kedah, Sabah, Pahang
Group C: Sarawak, Terengganu, Federal Teritory
Kumpulan D: Perak, Negeri Sembilan, Pulau Pinang
The finals of the competition is scheduled to be held at Stadium Negeri on the 31st of July.
