Sarawak FA is still hoping they can remain in the Liga Super.
This was said by the Football Association of Sarawak President, Dato Posa Majais, who was quoted by Bernama as saying that he is hoping that the Football Association of Malaysia (FAM) would stick with thier plan to increase the number of teams in the Liga Super, hence giving the Crocs an opportunity to return to the top football league next season.
FAM is said to be currently toying with the idea of increasing the number of teams in the Liga Super to 14, from the current 12, hence paving way for relegated teams such as Sarawak and Pulau Pinang FA to return to top flight football.
Sarawak confirmed their relegation last Saturday when they were held to a scoreless draw at Stadium Negeri, giving Kelantan FA the opportunity to climb above them in the standings, putting them back in the relegation zone.
The Crocs, as they are popularly know as, have been struggling in the Liga Super since the beginning of the season, and had their head coach ‘rested’ mid-season following poor results.
Change in head coach however failed to improve their fortunes with the Crocs finally needing a win against T-Team for their survival in the Liga Super, in which they failed to achieve, and hence being relegated anyway.
