There was so much optimism when Football Association of Sarawak (FAS) General Secretary Razali Dolhan announced that he is confident Sarawak FA would get the football club license after submitting an appeal.
Well, today, the Football Association of Malaysia (FAM) crushed those optimistic thoughts with Sarawak FA, together with Felda United, named as the only two football teams that failed in their club licensing appeal.
According to FAM, both teams failed to fulfill the financial criteria to obtain the license.
Three other teams, Kedah FA, Kelantan FA and Melaka United who also appealed for the football club license, managed to obtain theirs this time around.
The latest development definitely adds to the negative atmosphere surrounding the Sarawak football camp lately with the team already set to loose three of their top youngsters to PJ Rangers, despite wanting to go all local next season.
