Two Sarawak based teams managed to secure their first win in the league over the weekend.
Kuching City FC, which plays in the Liga Super defeated PDRM FC with Daniel Amier and Jordan Mintah sealing the win on Friday night.
The win saw the Cats push up the Liga Super to seventh in the league, up one spo from gameweek four of the league.
Next up, the Cats will be travelling to Alor Setar to meet Kedah Darul Aman FC, which now shares six points with Kuching City, but is at sixth place due to goal difference in the Liga Super standings.
In the semi-proffesional Liga A1 Semi-Pro MBSB Bank Championship, Sibu team Machan FC won their first match of the season by defeating Kuala Lumpur Rovers, also at Stadium Negeri in Kuching.
Machan’s goals were scored by former Sarawak United players, Ashri Chuchu and Abdul Rahman Ismawi.
The result catapulted Machan to 11th in the standings, with three points to show from five games.
For Machan, the win will be a sigh of relief as they lost four games back to back prior to the 2-0 win agains KL Rovers on Sunday.
Machan will next travel to Klang based Harini Selangor FT with good chance to further climb up the league if they manage to secure a win.
