Although the transfer window is still a month from now, more rumours come cropping up with Muamer Salibasic (photo above) the latest being linked to a move leaving Sarawak FA.
According to Utusan Sarawak, the well received Bosnian has been given an ultimatum by Sarawak head coach Robert Alberts, which is “to to rejoin training in two weeks, or he would also have to leave the squad permanently.”
Robert was quoted as saying that his team “needs quality import players, and his side is not able to wait for their foreign players to find their form”.
The Malay daily added that Robert was “very disappointed with Iranian Aliredza Abbasfard’s form”, while at the same time likening another foreign import, Milorad Janjus to a mere ‘passenger’ in the team, despite the fact that Milorad has scored thrice.
Robert was also quoted as saying that dropping all three imports was an option he is considering because his team requires huge contribution from foreign players, and that if Muamer fails to recover in the stipulated time, he has no option but to find a replacement.
The Dutch coach further adds that “Sarawak FA is a professional club, and that also means that they (Sarawak) has to be professional in terms of player transfer”.
The sudden outburst by Robert over Muamer’s recovery time has shocked Sarawak fans with many thinking that Muamer’s possition was ‘safe’.
Muamer played only 18 minutes this season, before he limped out of the first game of the season due to a serious injury.
He has since been watching Sarawak games from the stands with the Crocs badly struggling to score goals.
