Robert – ‘All out for Penang!’

Sarawak will go all out to beat Penang in the first round of the FA Cup at the State Stadium in Petra Jaya here tomorrow night before thinking of the second round encounter.

State coach Robert Alberts He said the squad should made amend to their 0-2 defeat at the hands of the armed forces by beating Penang.

“The FA Cup is very important to us and we have to beat Penang first before thinking of our next contender, most likely Selangor, in the second round,” Alberts told Bernama here today.

However, Alberts who hailed from Holland, reminded the players not to underestimate Penang who were made up of old and new faces.

“Penang are good in counter-attacks and we have to be careful,” he added.

Alberts said Sarawak’s Aliredza Abbasfard of Iran, who was off form in the match against the armed forces, had to make redeem himself and help Sarawak achieve glory this season.

However, Sarawak had to bench Muamer Salibasic who suffered a knee injury in a match against the armed forces.

“I have yet to decide who will take over from Muamer, but if Aliredza is fielded I hope he will prove his worth,” said Alberts.

Sarawak will meet Kelantan in the Super League on Jan 25.
