Robert Alberts expressed his disappointment over Indonesian side Arema Malang which canceled the arranged pre-season friendly between them. According to wearemania.net, Roberts was looking forward to the game because Arema is known to be one of the best teams in Indonesia, and that such a match would benefit his side.
The Dutch coach however was still hoping to play a friendly with Arema if the Indonesian side agrees to do so while the Sarawak team is in Indonesia.
Roberts was also reported by wearemania.net to have admitted that there was some problems between Arena’s management with him in the past, but hoped that it is now forgotten.
Sarawak is now in Indoensia for their pre-season tour, and have played two games so far. They drew 1-1 with Metro F, and went down 2-1 to PSM Makassar yesterday. A match between Sarawak and Arema was scheduled this coming Sunday, but it has since been canceled for unknown reasons.
