The Crocs drew 1-1 with Indonesian side Metro FC last Monday with former national striker Akmal Rizal scoring his first goal for the Crocs in the first half of the first pre-season match played in their Indonesian tour.
According to Joseph Kalang Tie, the game however was not continued beyond the first half due to thunderstorms and heavy rain in Gajayana Stadium, Malang. Our sources were not able to reveal further details about the game however.
The solitary goal scored by Akmal somewhat gave fans of Sarawak more confidence in the 31-year-old striker whom they doubted since his arrival at Stadium Negeri.
Sarawak is scheduled to play another pre-season game at 4PM (Malaysian time) today, with Indonesian Super League team PSM Makassar being their opponents.
However, it is rumored that the highly anticipated game against Arema was canceled.
