Both Sime Darby and home team Sarawak face the ultimate challenge this Friday when they take on each other to define who is the better of the two. A win for any side would translate into them being at the lead of the Malaysian Premier League, and a defeat would drift them away from the title.
Sarawak will have home advantage, but Sime Darby boast of the best strike force in the league with import Karlo Primorac scoring not less than two goals in every game he has featured in. Sime Darby also boast of the best defence in the Premier League, sharing the title with Sarawak.
The Crocs however have been optimistic that they can challenge the Sime Darby as newspaper reports suggest that Robert Alberts would be eyeing to bring out his best line-up for this game.
It is highly believed that the Crocs will work to reinforce their midfield with Junior Eldstal, Guy Bwele and Muamer Salibasic starting for for the very first time. Salibasic will most probably be given the role of a playmaker, while both Bwele and Eldstal run the engine room with their ball winning skills.
Up front, Bobby Gonzales is expected to be a lone striker, while Azizan Baba and Joseph Kallang Tie is expected to bring in the crosses from both left and right.
At the defense line, Ramesh Lai, Hairol Mokhtar, Ronny Harun and Mafry Ballang is expected to keep the visiting team at bay, while Sani Anuar will take the last stand between the goal post.
On our Facebook page (www.fb.com/sarawakcrocscom), the poll is quite anonymous by saying that Sarawak would be defeating Sime Darby tomorrow. A fan known as Cikgoo Jasz also stressed that the Crocs need to give it 200%, with history proving Sarawak can beat anyone.
The game is expected to go to the wire with both sides exchanging attack in a packed stadium. Despite that, fans are also hopeful that the man in the middle would manage the game with plenty of fairness, as both team display quality football.
