Robert Alberts took a swipe at JOHARA ERA when he said “Not bad for a cap ayam team” after his team trashed Perak 6-1 at Stadium Negeri last night.
Robert’s comment came after Semenanjung based announcers Johan and Ray poked fun of the Premier League champions for loosing in the opening game of the Malaysia Cup early last month.
Such comments were indeed not well received with the trio of JOHARA Era forced to apologize over numerous avenues to the Sarawak fans.
The game last night was deemed special by many Sarawak fans as they wanted revenge over the teams defeat to Perak in the first leg of the Malaysia Cup group stage. In that game, Sarawak fell 2-1 after firecrackers caused the Crocs to lose concentration, hence allowing Perak to snatch two goals in the game that was stopped for 15 minutes due to firecrackers.
The 6-1 thumping of Perak therefore shows that Sarawak could have won in Perak if not for the disturbance by firecrackers.
