No debut for Benedict Martin tonight

It is highly unlikely Benedict Martin, one of Sarawak’s most well traveled footballer, would start tonight after the midfielder himself confirmed in a Facebook post that he has not ‘reached the level of fitness required’ to compete.

Benedict, considered one of Sarawak’s best midfielders, also didn’t confirm that he was already signed with the Crocs in the brief statement, preferring to state that he was only ‘invited to train with the team recently’.

The Kuching lass, more comfortably called ‘Ben’ among fans also said that he will work hard to achieve the required level of fitness which is needed to play in the Liga Super, and thanked fans for their support.

In the statement, Ben also hoped that fans would rally behind the team at this ‘critical time’, saying that he believes ‘together nothing is impossible’.

Ben is rumoured to have returned to Sarawak FA this season following a personal invitation from the President of the Football Association of Sarawak (FAS).

However, FAS had since failed to released any official statement in regards to the signing of Ben, similar to the signing and release of other players.
