Sarawak football fans can put rest for now talks about Sarawak FA playing without the presence of fans after it was confirmed that no such ruling or instruction has been released by the Football Association of Malaysia (FAM).
According to reliable sources, FAM is still waiting for the report on the incident which happened during the Sarawak vs Kelantan game, and has yet to decide on any punishment for FAS. FAM has also not met to deliberate on the issue, and will only do so after the report is received from FAM officials at the game.
Recently, football fans have been claiming that Sarawak will have to play their next game against Perlis (match tonight) without the presence of fans after FAM decided to ban fans from the stadium following indiscipline during the FA Cup quarterfinals match between Sarawak and Kelantan. It was also rumored that FAS was fined RM40,000.
Last year, the Crocs played Sabah in front of an empty stadium when FAS was slapped with a hefty fine and a one match ‘fan suspension’ following misbehavior of Sarawak fans during matches in the Super League.
